Game stops recognizing Xbox controller.

Played 6 games with no controller issues. Just started a game, and first batter flew out. Second batter swings at one pitch, then all of a sudden, the controller is not working. The light is on, and it is securely plugged in, but game is not recognizing it. Batter strikes out because she does not swing. A glitch maybe? Or a bug? This is on a PC using an Xbox 1 controller.

Mine keeps losing connection too. I have to unplug and plug it back in.

My game isn't recognizing the controller either. The computer acknowledges when I plug and unplug, but XBOX 360 isn't working. This is a SERIOUS bug for a sports game!

Still no gamepad access. I may have to refund this, unfortunately. Have the devs acknowledged the problem?

I had the same problem on SMB 2, Never found a fix so I switched to my 8bitdo snes pro. I realize not everyone has that controller or bluetootth on their computers but I've had zero issues with it.

I use an 8bitdo bluetooth adapter to connect a Nintendo Switch Pro controller to my PC. SMB3 is definitely being a little finicky some times in recognizing the controller pm game launch. But it's a quick an easy fix: quit SMB3, plug the 8bitdo in again and relaunch SMB3 and it's good to go.

That's weird. No problems so far on SMB2 or SMB3 with my xbone controller. I've heard of certain USB-C cables causing problems in other games + xbone controllers.

I had no problem with SMB2. I've checked my other controller supported games and the only other one I'm seeing an issue is with the new Star Wars game I picked up on sale on Origin. I just reinstalled RBI Baseball 20. I guess I'lll be returning SMB3 because it's useless to keep a game I can't play. This is VERY disappointing!

With the little time played, I have had no issues with my Xbox controller. I am using a Belkin cord, cheap cords lose connection to often. Make sure the connection is secure as well. I'll update if it starts losing connection. So far so good.

I have a steering wheel and pedals plugged in. Xbox worked fine for the first game I played today, but after 1 pitch of second game, it stopped. I unplugged it, and the game told me it was unplugged, and then when I plugged it back in it worked for 1 pitch then stopped. I decided to exit to desktop.

Hello,
If you have additional input systems, such as the steering wheel and pedals you mentioned, try playing the game with them unplugged and see if you still have the issue. It's possible that they may be stealing away the input focus from the controller you have connected.

so I'm having this issue now. Played for several hours today no problems. Quit the game then launched again a while later. Controller not detected. Nothing has changed about my setup at all.

The only time I had disconnect issues with my xbone controller was when I was running it wireless (bluetooth). Since I've connected it to the PC with a USB cable, Not one disconnect either in SMB2 or SMB3

It's not a disconnect issue as the controller still works with windows and other games. SMB3 just completely stopped detecting it with absolutely no change from me.
