Season Watch Mode - cpu using suggested lineups

I'm running a "sim-watch" league, I guess you'd call it, with friends. We each GM a team and stream the games in watch mode. However, in Season when you watch a game, the cpu automatically uses the suggested lineup rather than the set lineups. So it takes the important piece of us being able to modify our lineups how we would like out of the equation and being at the mercy of what the ai feels the lineup should be.

Was hoping for an option to either toggle use set or suggested lineup in watch mode or when clicking Watch the game, rather than starting the game right away, it goes to the lineup screen to make lineup changes like in exhibition mode.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior if you are watching games in Season mode?

Been requested since game release, as far as I know devs haven't said if they will implement this one way or another.

Needs to happen though, AI lineups take a lot of management creativity from the sim. Makes no sense that it isn't implemented for watch since you set the lineups for watched exhibition games.

One workaround for now is to play the game, setting the lineup before you start, then exit out before the first pitch gets thrown and watch the rest of the game.

On that note, not to brag, but when I did that with the Freebooters and moved Gunns Jackman to second the team was much better offensively and defensively. AI kept him at short and the team was a trainwreck because he kept getting mojo drops from mishandled grounders.

I don't understand how to do this? New to the game.

If I choose exit it exits to the desktop. How do I keep the lineups I choose and watch the CPU use them via exiting?

A lot of the time for me the "finish later" option is greyed out.

However it seems like after even just 1 pitch the game is saved, so if I exit, then go back in to the game and resume the franchise and watch (or simulate) the game, it will be back to using my lineups and have one pitch thrown in the game.

It's always grayed out if the game is saving, you should be able to use it between plays

I think I am getting used to it, there is an instant of time that you need to hit ESC in, miss it by milliseconds and the option gets greyed out.
