Why do pitchers sneeze and cough? What does it mean?
While I am pitching, my pitchers will sneeze and cough and rub their noses.

Why do they do this? What does it mean, in the context of gameplay?

If it has no significant meaning, then it has no place in the game. It is distracting and foolish.

I've bought and played all three versions of Super Mega Baseball (along with all add-ons and extra downloadable content) and pitchers sneeze in all three. Why?

Just animators showing off, and I guess just filling what they perceive as dead air. But yeah, they should just remove all the sneezing... it is way overdone. Maybe 1 or 2 sneezes a game would be plenty.

It would be a decidedly boring game if we eliminated all non-essential animations as you suggest, but I agree that the sneezing thing - and more precisely, the frequency of it - is annoying. Like the post above, maybe once or twice a game, not once or twice every inning.

On a side note, I think it's hilarious that occasionally someone will hurt their knee after attempting (successfully or not) to break a bat over it.
