Does SMB 3 tell you about the terms of baseball like what is RBI, or SP, Or ERA like SMB 1 did?
In Super Mega Baseball 1, it explains the Baseball terms that are used in the game.

Runs batted in, meaning you swung and scored a run.
Starting Pitcher.
ERA - Earned Run Average. How many runs the pitches averages per 9 innings

Thank you but what I am asking is, does the game explain these terms in-game like Super Mega Baseball 1 did where there was a line or two about the term?

no

Yes, there should be a glossary of terms available in game. I recall being able to easily look-up what all of these things meant when learning.

I can agree with that. I looked up the stuff i didn't know on google, but an in-game glossary would be cool if only to save 15 seconds.

It's under How To Play > Glossary.

Technically, the only time you personally accrue an RBI and run at the same time is when you hit a homer. In all other cases, someone else is doing the scoring when you get an RBI.

It is but it is only in an abbreviated list, no 1 line or 2 lines about what it means. If you played Super Mega Baseball Extra Innings then you would see what I am talking about.

You got me curious so I loaded up the SMBER and WOW! I'd forgotten how CUTE this game was originally. Quite a change from SMB3. But if it's the glossary you're talking about, then SMB3 has a much more extensive glossary with terms and meanings. And there is also a "definition" tab right next to the glossary tab that's not in SMBER. I could be wrong but I think what you're looking for is still here only more of it.

Thank you, it is very good then and yeah, Metahead went from cartoon style to a "more life like" approach for SMB 2 and even more in SMB 3. Very disappointing for me but that is what the big feedback said.

With so few baseball games that you can really sink your teeth into. Back then and even now, this one had the potential to be what it's become and can be even better.

I think they managed to maintain a unique look that's still cartoony without being as blocky and outdated as the first game. It's basically a more stream-lined game in terms of the presentation, whereas the first game really looked like a placeholder.

I think we can trust MetalHead but I have a problem with ourselves.

Placeholder is the word which makes me sad. Even the game's menus & the presentation is far away from Extra Innings. Not a hint of anything cartoon 😔
