Question about scanning cards

I'm confused about how the scanning of cards works.

I bought a starter deck and scanned the cards into the game. They show in my collection, but apparently need to spend in-game currency to craft them.

So in other words, owning the physical card doesn't GIVE you the cards, just the opportunity to craft them?

Not complaining, just want to make sure I understand how it works.

You don't need to spend in-game currency to craft the cards you own and scan into the game. For example, when you scan Bubble Fish you obtain that card, however, if you need more of them; you'll need to scan more cards in or craft them in game.

If the cards haven't appeared however, let our support team know with your playertag :)
