WORKAROUND: 4k Monitors on Windows

Assuming you're on Windows, you will currently want to use Windows Magnifier

Windows Magnifier is a built-in feature of modern Windows operating systems. Before you start, try the following hotkey combinations so you know how to zoom in and out and revert to normal
* Windows+Plus will zoom in
* Windows+Minus will zoom out (only works if zoomed in)
* Windows+Esc will cancel all zoom levels (only works if zoomed in)

Until tHe PrOcEsS concludes, the best way to play Dungeons of Dredmor on 4k on Windows is as follows:
1. Uncheck "Fullscreen" on the configuration menu
2. Choose a resolution that is less than half of your native resolution (for example: if your native resolution is 3840 x 2160, select 1920 x 2160 (or less))
3. Start the game (which will spawn the gameplay window in the size you selected)
4. Temporarily drag the gameplay window so that the topleft corner is in the bottom-right quadrant of the monitor you want to play on
5. press the Windows Logo Key + Plus to turn on the Windows Screen Magnifier
6. Reposition your gameplay window to be comfortable on the magnified screen
7. (Optional) Attempt to kill Lord Dredmor. With a Random Build on Permadeath
