Dungeons of Dredmor

Dungeons of Dredmor

The diferent resolutions don´t fit with the screen
I don´t know why, but at the max resolution that my monitor can handle, I lost some of the GUI. If I change to a lower resolution, the GUI lost is worse.
I can play the game, but, for example, I dont know where to see the money I have..I think is un the left side of the GUI that I dont see. And I cant see the skill 9 slot.

I have searched in google and here, but I cant find any solution.

(Sorry for the gramatical errors, sure I have a lot)

Click the little icon in the top-right corner of your character portrait, it will shrink the GUI. This isn't so much a "solution" as it is a work-around, normally the GUI should never be outside of your screen when playing full-screen. I don't know what is causing it, but at least you'll be able to see your gold.

Thanks, now I can see the complete GUI :P small, but complete :D
im having the same problem, except the screen is cut off in such a way that i can't even see the character portrait, and i can't move the window any higher so i can't fix it. I have no idea what to do, the game is unplayable this way and it's reeally annoying.

I've been coming across this problem every now and then, and I sort of remember the one time someone found a solution to it. I'm not sure if it's the same problem or if this fix will apply, but it's worth checking out, I suppose.
The issue seems to be something called Screen Magnification or something similar. I don't know what it is, but apparently some people have this functionality that sometimes magnifies your virtual screen beyond your physical one (cutting it off, obviously). See if you have something like that going on when you're in-game.

I just came across this problem and found the solution on the developers' forums. This is due to having scaling tured on for your desktop. You can go into display resolution and choose to change the size of text and images on your screen, goto custom settings and reset it back to 100%, mine was set to 125%. Alternatively, you can disable window scaling in compatibility mode for the dredmor executable file only.

Wow, I have had the scaling problem with so many games, but it usually didn't get worse as I went smaller, as this one did. I had no clue that I could just disable scaling on the compatibility tab before, so thank you! Now I should be able to turn the resolution on my Civ V back up! Reducing text size is just not a proper solution when I can't read anything at 100% in my setup.

Thanks for bring up this fix. The problem is indeed caused by the game's use of Windows display scaling settings. I think the best way to fix the problem is to find the Dungeons of Dredmor.exe (program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\dungeons of dredmor); right click the .exe and select properties. Select the 'compatibility' tab inside the properties window, and activate the checkbox that says "Disable display scaling on high DPS settings".

Once that scaling is disabled, the problem will be gone. And I think it's better to disable it just for this game than disable it for the entire computer (because you might want it for other things...)

I know I'm replying to a 2-year-old thread, but THANK YOU SO MUCH for this! I had no idea I could do this. I have scaling on because the max resolution on this computer makes the text almost impossibly tiny. It never occurred to me that it was causing the issues I've had with this and some other games. This thread made my night!

I am having a bit of a similar problem, although a bit more severe. I tried what was suggested, with changing the font size back to 100%, disabling display scaling on high dps settings on Dungeons of Dredmor only, turning off overscan on the tv monitor I use, and even selecting the option in Nvidia to override games trying to change the screen scale. All of this to no avail, as most of the edges of the screen are off (I can't see status effects, or either of my health bars). Any other suggestions?

as per Pcgaming wiki

Right click on Dungeons of Dredmor.exe and select Properties.
Click the 'Compatibility' tab.
Check 'Disable display scaling on higher DPI settings'.
Click Apply.
Click OK and run the game.
