How do i unlock my freeform character to play?

Should be able to freely convert it to an available archetype too. There'll be a button at the right that says "Convert" or something.

i see a convert button but it says "Use your free respec/re-train to convert this character to Silver.

All i want to do is play my old Freeform character that i designed and built without having to repec or re-train it. i dont even know why i should have to respec it. Was it to OP? are freeform not allowed anymore?

Your character is locked because it's a Freeform you created under a subscription. Monthly subs were dropped a couple of years ago, so you can:
Buy a Freeform slot
Start a new character, grind out Questionite to buy a Freeform slot
Get a lifetime subscription (probably not worth it for one character)

so either buy a freeform slot or a lifetime sub. So either one of those options will allow me to play my freeform character that i made? The play button will no longer be greyed out?

If you have an available Freeform slot, you'll have an option to convert that character to a playable Freeform. After that the play button won't be greyed out.

Thought I'd add that there's been a lot of power changes in the last few years, you'll probably need to rework that build at some point anyway. You'll have free Retcon tokens for it.

i got the freeform slot, when i click my old character and then click upgrade it says it wants to convert it to freeform, but its already a freeform, lol.
then there was a line that read something about re-training. By doing this will it reset all my trained powers?

You know, now that I'm thinking about it, it might. I'm sorry about that if you were attached to the build. Like I said, if it's any consolation it probably needed reworking anyway, and you should be able to get it back to more or less the same thing.

i had zen so it only cost me $5 but the only other option to play this character is $249 for a sub, lol

Oh that's great!

Remember to get your Premium Pack, it should be free if you were a subscriber before.
