Being native French speaking... I didn't get it! ^^
But yeah, I think they should let the players pretend they bury it.... And run away playing it! XD

Hopefully when the game does kick the bucket, Instead of closing the game, They'll keep it up to allow whoevers left to keep playing.

I.e like the game is already.

Really, the only reason the server is still up is because Neverwinter, Star Trek and Champions share the same server, so their global cost is covered by the former two games, which means they can afford CO being a deadweight while the other carry said deadweight on their own. Look at the patchnotes. As someone else said, the game has only a skeleton crew keeping it alive, there's nothing new coming to it, as it seems. The best work we have on it is Kaizerin fixing some bugs here and there.

Ehm... we just got cats.

Doesn't seem like anything special at first, but it's really the first time in years that a new model was added to the game. The last one (and first since launch) was the spider they ported over from Neverwinter.

Good ! If they share the same server, I don't think they'll ever close CO.

Oh, you are right, we just got cats.

The game is saved. We don't have a skeleton crew anymore and the game is finally leaving maintenance mode.

I'm waiting on population to rocket up to the sky now! Triple A MMO here.

Except not. Champions Online was NEVER a Triple A MMO. The amount of content a Triple A MMO gets in one expansion, CO has gotten over its entire existence so far, maybe.
You cannot measure CO by Triple A MMO standards.

And yet, the game is alive and development continues. At a snail's pace, but it does.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm tasting some sarcasm here.

Living is the process of being near death and continually failing to die.

CO is a undead MMO. not quite dead but not alive either! BRAAAAAIIINS!

I tried this game.. not being able to use zone chat or send private message to player.. was big deal breaker to me personally

Missions where supervillain or strong enemy at end killed me always so having friend or finding someone in game that teams with you is must in the end.

now after 3 days and hmm 10 houers testing it i put it hold and see if they change the chat system or if i find someone to play with.

it is fun to just fly around or throw lamps at mobs tought
galadon3 Nov 7, 2018 @ 9:25am
If you cant chat freely after 3 days fill a ticket to the support, the chat-restrictions shouldnt be in place any more at that point.
New accounts being unable to chat should last for some hours, if its still active thats buggy.

Might as well be dead, they removed the monthly subscription. The only way to have access to my characters is either to pay 35$ a piece (for 8 Characters) or 300$ for a lifetime subscription.
I actually wanted to give them money to play my old characters but no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way am i paying that.
So the only other Super-hero MMO left is DCO and i really dont like the character creator, from Costume ''choices'' to Power options... I really miss COH/COV

[Repost from another similar thread, but still relevant] I and my friends still play this game! As said before, best Superhero mmo around. And there are a lot of great questlines if you haven't played it before. ( The "expansions" and quest stories do get stale if you play with lots of alts ) There's a lot it has going for it, sadly it lost steam and not a lot of significant content gets added. I believe the publishers are focusing on Start Trek and Neverwinter as they are greatly larger and recongnizable francises for casual gamers.

I suppose with all the Marvel movies out, there might be a miracle where something happens and there is a resurgence of interest. Although I am glad someone caught the game when Cryptic died, I can't say I really like the company - which is a big part of why CO is where it is today.
ZeeHero Nov 14, 2018 @ 8:24pm
I think he means when PWE ate cryptic's soul by buying them out.
