Random Power Coloring

I once saw a player who knew how to macro or keybind their powers so that every time they fired it was a different color. I thought the idea was rather clever, but i've never been able to figure out how to recreate that effect. Any keybind/macro ninjas out there know how to do that?

That effect no longer works.....they took out the functionality of it when they put in Auras.

In fact you will notice alot of powers just wont change color at all now no matter what pallete you choose.

I am thinking its becasue they want you to buy the aura for it instead.

Nonsense. Auras do not affect power FXes.
And powers can totally still be colored.

yes its my understanding that auras are colored seperately from powers for gold or lifetime users. i know silvers cannot color their powers but im a lifer. i know that theres a color hue consol command that can be bound but im trying to figure out how to cycle colors with it.

Hi, here's the guide, I think it still works. It worked after aura implementation, as I saw it being implemented maybe a year ago or so. I just never gotten around to trying it myself:

Yeah um...thats why the questionite store has a section called auras....with the complete listing of all the power FXs the powers used to have.

so like i said you can try the macro guide from 2013...but the powers dont have the same effects anymore.

People were actually complaining that they were stuck with a certain aura because of the passive power they had picked. My own particle character used to constantly give off electric sparks in battle, while my gadgeteer sparkled like Edward Effin' Cullen!
Cryptic did us a FAVOUR when they disconnected auras from passive powers.

I use this on one of my characters. It still works.

Auras did not remove power recoloring, that's a silly thing to say.

I know this is an old post. I am trying to find current information on how to do this as something was changed since my last time on my fairy. Her power colors won't change randomly anymore. How do I fix this?

I'm lifetime.I'm talking about character having random color every time she does a power or whether it be travel power or not. Letting game decide vs. me changing them myself manually.

is what I'm still using and still works for me. did you maybe reset your keybindings or something? only thing I could think of that would make it stop working.
