What? Why no? It's just an addition. It will not change the single player experience at all. In Coop you just split up the group in fights. In dialouges you just take over the decision making of the characters you have control of (option1) or you just decide together for the main character (option2). Everything else is the same. You could immidiately create a coop mode for Rome without changing anything in that game. There is no reason I can think of why a multiplayer coop is bad.
Can't imagine why. When single and multiplayer run are the exact same except of splitting the fighting group in half and have lets say a voting system for the dialouges (not even that you really need), I really doubt that would cost a great amount of time and resources to implement. But maybe you are right ... I am not a developer. We will see if the next Expedition has coop.
♥♥♥♥... did not know that. Well, that makes my post obsolete...
Even Gearbox is in danger of being shutdown. Most of their studios are being laid off completely.
Well ... deserved I think. They had such great titles but ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up so many times in the past ... they ruined guild 3 for example...
Jeez.
Yeah well, that's also true. Let's hope they will find better employers who treat their employees and costumers with respect ... even when the gaming industry is not like that atm. Lets hope that the industry acts more like the Larian Studios or CD Project Red for example in the future.
Okay. Non existent developer answers me, I am confused :D.
Well you are right that it would be way more fun if both players would have their own character with their own decision. Solution would be to have two main characters from the beginning which you play also in singleplayer. But I can tell you, if you would just implement coop into rome with split combat group (every player skills his characters and has control over them in battle) and a voting system for the dialouges it would be great too. Other games do it like that, I've played a few of them in coop and it was always fun as hell (example: Wasteland 3).
But at this point of information about your company and so on it would be just great to have a future expedition game at all (with or without coop)
