Well, I like older eras better. But it could be interesting. You could have clash with future Napoleon. :-)
Well Expeditions should be also about exploration and not just military conquest. So in this regard Napoleonic wars are not the best example except some periods, for example Napoleons campaign into Egypt would be great as Expetidions game. He was smart enough to take many scientists with him so it was as much "complex exploration" as you could dare to hope in this era.
It wouldnt be really small-ish but more small-ish than his later campaigns. :)
Oh sure, I didn't mean this time period and area specifically, it's just the first thing that popped into my head. Just wanna see an Expeditions game with line infantry and gunpowder, they can decide the rest.
I am hoping that even after the studio's closure Jonas and the other minds behind the Expeditions series will land on their feet and that the series will continue.
As a history nerd with a fondness for tactical rpgs the Expeditions series is one of my absolute favorite trios of games and I hope everybody involved is doing fine amidst any upheaval they may be experiencing.
That would be very bad news if its true.
I also hope so. But with different name. IP Expeditions stays with THQ.
Buy successful studios, then close them up is a "business strategy?"
Some suit made a killing on this, for certain, but WTF Batman.
