How do you add people to your party?

I'm on my first mission, to go to the warehouse, but it says that I don't have all of the required characters- I didn't realize that my character was alone, and everyone else was left behind. So I went back to Kalloni to get my party, but try as I might- talking to them, going to the party management menu- I can't figure it out. Everytime I leave camp, none of them come with me. How do you add people to your party?

Hmm they should be with you. You don't have to add them to your party, unless you assigned them to do something in the camp (like healing or some other task) but i don't think you even have that option on the first mission, so i'm puzzled as to why they are not with you.

So when I left my camp, it only showed my character's face on the map screen, and when I got to the warehouse it said I had to have certain companions. I didn't realize that those companions are always with you when they're not assigned to the camp, so that's just my misunderstanding. Thanks for the help
