I finished whole game in 54 hours and didnt skip any missions or hasted to the end without any comfort. Game should be at least 80+ hours content wise imo. I hope next expeditions game would be longer than this.
I think most will have around 60+ hours, but even 54 hours is a solid game, I would rather have 50 hours of solid play than 100 hours of busy work, aka Assassin's Creed - which is actually 50 hours of great game play and another 50 hours of busy work.
For me, the game is good but it has several design problems.
The main one is to be very slow because...
1-You have to waste time wandering at the end of the scenarios to loot corpses.
2-You have to waste time wandering across the Legion Outpost to manage their facilities.
3-You have to waste time in transitions going in/out of Legion Outpost to make game time flow.
The second problem is the Legion Outpost Management interface. It's beautifull to see the Camp, but it will be much better to have a summary managemetn screen wit ALL the facilities (the ones available, the missing, their construction costs, their resources,....) Something similar to XCOM base or HM&M cities.
The third problem is the management of characters inside Tactical Missions. It's not possible to see the character sheet in the selection screen neither inisde the mission. So you have to go out from the selction screen, rearange your characters, and go back.
I am loving this and it has plenty of content. Especially when running with different avatars. My current are a princips (shieldwall for the win!) and a triarius and in both i need to play very different.
Or rather, I could've just done without the pacification mission and random "bandit assault"-type battles. More story arcs, locations you can visit, quests and decisions and such? Sure, with pleasure.
I'm almost done with Act 2 with 78 hours. Granted, I'm moving at a very comfortable pace and leave the room fairly often, but I would assume it's still around 60 hours of actual gameplay.
I think that's a fast, possibly a very fast playthrough compared to average. I would say you play your games quickly.
