Custom Party?

I played and loved Expeditions: Vikings and I loved that if I didn't want to use any of the original characters in my party, it allowed for me to create a troupe of custom characters. Does this game also allow that? so far I just managed to be Archaelus (Mispelled possibly) but still I've not seen any mention or hint toward possibly a custom party being possible.

No custom party. The best you can do is rename the Praetorians you recruit.

Ah that is unfortunate. I was lead to believe otherwise when I was looking into the game a month ago. Oh well.

Can't create it from the ground up, but you can reroll praetorians and only recruit the ones you want for your party. And since there's no time limit this time it is actually feasible to do.

for the main story stuff, it usually requires your story characters, but for most side stuff, you can use custom characters. you also use your main characters and custom characters together in sieges. (by custom characters I mean side characters that are randomly generated that you hire.)

Its unfortunate but not a game killer for me. I was hoping to be able to create a fully customizable party based on what I wanted class-wise much like Vikings. I don't see why they'd remove that feature and replace it with randomly generated characters. Its just odd to me as a decision made.
