"The Third Man" quest

How to get this quest? I read from some walkthrough saying that you will get this quest in Act II after getting back to Rome, but Deianeira says she doesn't want me getting involved and I can't start this quest.

update: I tried many other options when talking to Deianeira outside Rome, and none of them can trigger a quest back to Rome.

I think it´s part of her romance quest, not to get the romance itself ... but her full story if you romance her. Not sure though.

In Rome on some quests you control the companions.
So you not getting involved means, that you control Deianeira on the quest.

But... I mean, how to start the quest? I can't find any clue in the whole city...

I think so, and I do have her romanced.

I've played to chapter 3 twice. The first time I did not get the quest, second time I got it. There is a requirement for this quest in Africa, you need to bring Deianeira to the market in Memhpis where she recognizes a slave trader. Then you get a follow up in Rome.

Wow how do you even do this quest, with 1 dagger, 2 tactical slots, alone, no armor and about 10 enemies? This and the other one in the Villa seem impossible.

It was pretty easy when I did it. All the enemies are untrained males so you can just Nutcracker your way through.

You are in fury stage and get one shot kills also carry pillums and knives

Having an amulet with the Base Maximum Damage property also helps chain those kills together.

Yeah this was fun. Nutcracker is godsend. Everyone is male and nutcracker gives double damage to male so you're basically one death machine. Don't bother with weapon
