TAKE OUR MONEY!!! Love you guys! Great game/developers. Cant wait! All yall behind the magic not the big megacorp that pushes it out
Well yes and no.. Some of the original developers are still at Dynasty (formerly Logic Artists) and are now working on their projects.
However, Fasih is referring to the original developers who formed Campfire Cabal under THQN - the IP holder of the series. There are currently no announced plans for Rome.
I would also suggest Expeditions : Alexander or Expeditions : Attila
Can't wait to see what setting you choose next but you have all my support !
Ah a split... is never a good sign. I thought they bought themselves back from THQ and re-branded in the process. To be fair, I had less than no interest in a free to play, crafting survival, pvpve game. So maybe there is still hope for a THQ backed follow up to expeditions.
I have gotten into a habit now of just.. waiting till all the content for a games out before playing it. I was hoping for a bigger expansion to rome here, but heck looks like its time to play it now.
From what I gathered, it's just the other founders of Logic Artists (Ali Emek and Juan Ortega) and only a few of the Devs who are in Dinasty Studios working on a NFT game that most of fans of Expeditions probably won't be interested in, but good luck to them anyway...
(if someone well-informed can confirm that it's a good summary of the situation, please do and correct any misunderstanding from my part, the whole story is quite obscure !)

And an interesting Reddit account from someone from the team who is still at THQ :

From his last post, we can imply that the next game they are working on might possibly not have the "Expeditions" tag in its name but will have the same ADN, which is enough for me !
-Expeditions: Wild West.
Recruit a bunch of people for an expedition westwards where you get to build up your own western town and have to defend it from all kinds of threats, using it as a base to gather resources in the region, maybe connect a railway, establish a mine, etc.
All people picked for an expedition could have their own strengths and flaws, like a great gunslinger could be good to keep the group safe but could have zero interest in running a business, and due to alcoholism can't be a sherrif or such either.
While a savy businesswoman could be little help in a fight though could be given a gun if need be, but she'll run a profitable business in the town.
-Expeditions: Treasure hunters.
You'd take charge of an Indiana Jones style adventurer in the 30's, gathering a team of all kinds of characters with you in your adventures. You could choose to keep everything to yourself or maybe deliver it to a museum for a reward or give it to the locals who might have a rightful claim to it.
This could allow for a more globe trotting adventure with several regions to travel in between that you can have various small and large adventures in, would allow for a new region to be added as DLC too. It could really embrace that pulp adventure kind of style.
-Expeditions: Crusades.
Could play a French noble heading for the holy land, building up forces and having to navigate between different local factions, having to decide who to side with.
Would allow for the full medieval experience.
I just love the historic turn based trpg
