Of the three expedition games how would u rank them?
I'm liking Rome. Wasn't a huge fan of viking. Might go back and play that one.

It's been too long since I've played Conquistador but I'd say Rome is the best one and certainly most polished. It isn't without a flaw but I'm enjoying it so much that I'm on my 3rd playthrough right now.

I would say subjectively Rome = Conquistador > Viking. Objectively Rome > Conquistador if just for the polish and the excellent story and voice acting, but really everything, it's a much more polished experience. However Conquistador was a stunning and highly original indie game out of nowhere when it came out so my subjective opinion is somewhat coloured by nostalgia.

I would rank:
1st- Vikings
2nd- Rome
3rd - Conquistador

Rome has the best graphics but I don't like the way they built abilites within the weapons,

Yeah, I'd pretty much second this. Though I never played Conquistador, so I can't really say much there. Rome I feel has the potential to be the best one, it just needs to add to what it already has. I'd love a peltast class that uses javelins as a sort of short ranged melee/ranged hybrid with light shields. Possibly options for a slinger setup too, actually just made myself a rudimentary sling and had a bit of fun messing about with it. Thing is actually somewhat terrifying for how basic it is.

My thoughts exactly. Conquistador had an amazing atmosphere with the colonization setting that made it shine despite its early shortcomings in terms of graphics and UI.

I still kind of prefer Vikings - coming from Vikings, Conquistador felt like a step down, and I never really got invested into it. Rome is a very good addition, but has a few shortcomings, when I compare it with vikings - most notably, that I have usually run out of content to discover by the time I finally get around to pacifying the last regions...

Rome has the best grafics, but when I look at the gameplay and the story, my ranking is:
1. Viking
2 Conquestatores
3. Rome

2. Rome
3. Conquistadors

I just finished Expeditions: Viking (I had it in my wishlist for some time and I bought it after trying the Rome demo): one of the best crpg I've ever played, for plot, characters and game system; I have never felt overwhelmed by the possibilities offered by the game, finding the whole rather coherent and not dispersive.

Rome from the graphic point of view is many steps ahead of Viking; from what I read, however, I cannot understand if the plot, characters and gameplay are at the same level or not. I will definitely buy Rome, but playing Viking has raised my expectations a lot.

actually, i'm enjoying them in the order they're released: Conquistador, Viking, Rome.

none are bad games. all are great. but i enjoy the simplicity of the first one, expansion of the second, most. Rome is ambitious but has some issues because of it, though i think it more growing pains than mistakes. i'm excited to see what they will do in the next instalment! :)

Nailed!

If you hated Vikings with looting hundred barrels and boxes in each map, they managed to make it 100 times worse with this crafting system - save>get off camp>wait>craft> enter camp>check item fail> reload - this till you get a reasonable roll of stats. Of almost 300 hours gameplay over 60% was reloading till I get a decent item from crafting.
Sextus was the worst NPC ever made: - a blacksmith that dont know absolutely nothing, you have to discover schematic for yourself; - cant sell materials for your items; - unable to craft anything cause you need to put your own praetorian to forge items for you; - he also like to make wit comments :/
Schematic also keep dropping the same over and over instead single time.

Dont be fooled by the beginning of the game by Bestia - he is the coolest companion you have in your journey. The way he evolve with Syneros is awesome, sometimes hilarious but mainly due to the way he view the world. I like him and Syneros, the others I dont care about unlike others companions in previous titles.

Yeah, this is how I feel too.

1. Vikings
2. Rome
3. Conquistadors

Vikings has the characters, story, but most importantly - the charm over the others.
It's also much more intuitive to play & less clunky than Rome.

Rome is/can be great, but suffers from overly convoluted systems. Horrible controls also.

All-in-all Rome easily has the potential to be the best one simply due to the great efforts of the development team in expanding the scope of the game. Just needs a bit more polish.
Looking forward to future titles in the Conquistador series!
