1st- Vikings
2nd- Rome
3rd - Conquistador
Rome has the best graphics but I don't like the way they built abilites within the weapons,
1. Viking
2 Conquestatores
3. Rome
2. Rome
3. Conquistadors
Rome from the graphic point of view is many steps ahead of Viking; from what I read, however, I cannot understand if the plot, characters and gameplay are at the same level or not. I will definitely buy Rome, but playing Viking has raised my expectations a lot.
none are bad games. all are great. but i enjoy the simplicity of the first one, expansion of the second, most. Rome is ambitious but has some issues because of it, though i think it more growing pains than mistakes. i'm excited to see what they will do in the next instalment! :)
2- Vikings
3- Rome
Nailed!
If you hated Vikings with looting hundred barrels and boxes in each map, they managed to make it 100 times worse with this crafting system - save>get off camp>wait>craft> enter camp>check item fail> reload - this till you get a reasonable roll of stats. Of almost 300 hours gameplay over 60% was reloading till I get a decent item from crafting.
Sextus was the worst NPC ever made: - a blacksmith that dont know absolutely nothing, you have to discover schematic for yourself; - cant sell materials for your items; - unable to craft anything cause you need to put your own praetorian to forge items for you; - he also like to make wit comments :/
Schematic also keep dropping the same over and over instead single time.
Dont be fooled by the beginning of the game by Bestia - he is the coolest companion you have in your journey. The way he evolve with Syneros is awesome, sometimes hilarious but mainly due to the way he view the world. I like him and Syneros, the others I dont care about unlike others companions in previous titles.
Yeah, this is how I feel too.
2. Rome
3. Conquistadors
Vikings has the characters, story, but most importantly - the charm over the others.
It's also much more intuitive to play & less clunky than Rome.
Rome is/can be great, but suffers from overly convoluted systems. Horrible controls also.
All-in-all Rome easily has the potential to be the best one simply due to the great efforts of the development team in expanding the scope of the game. Just needs a bit more polish.
Looking forward to future titles in the Conquistador series!
