How to change the game's language PROPERLY?

I am stuck with the game being in French. Only audio is in English. I can't find an option that puts the entire game in English. Menus, loading screens, subtitles, names, everything is in French.

I have seen an old post in which a developer considered that changing the audio was the "solution". I want the game in English.

I use English keyboard, everything is installed in English on my computer, every single menu, browser, everything, except the OS.

Is there any way to do it without changing the OS language?

The option menu has separate options for both game text language and VO audio.. You should be able to find and change it to English in the settings menu.

Options -> Miscellaneous -> Text Language

Indeed it has. But those change close to nothing. I have both in English, yet the game is still in French except for the audio and some texts (but not the subtitles/dialogs, not the quests, not the menus, not the options/settings, not the names (like sailor, etc.) not the descriptions, etc.

That is not an issue I have seen or heard of before.. Have you tried verifying game files or reinstalling the game?
Not having heard of it before, makes me sort of think its a local issue of some description.. But the game is not checking OS language as far as I know.. I believe its checking Steam language to setup the initial setting, so maybe if you change Steam to English it might work?

Thanks. I have seen one German person asking the same question some time ago in my research for a solution, and it seems he didn't find a solution from what I read.

Steam is in English on my PC.

I am trying to reinstall it one last time. If it doesn't work, I'll request a refund.

[SOLUTION FOUND] For future people who have the same problem, I found this solution (at least it worked for me): In Misc. Select the language that you don't want for both options and save. Log out from the game. Launch the game once again and then choose the language you want on both options. Then, the game is properly working in the selected language.
