Future of the Expeditions series

With the Logic Artists situation and the recent news that the Embracer Group shut down the Campfire Cabal studio I'm wondering what is going to happen to the series and the other unnanounced game the devs mentioned they were working on in this forum

This is actually one of my favorite game series and I'm honestly worried it might get doomed to just fade into obscurity because of the gaming industry being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as always

That is a misnomer. Logic Artists was reformed into 2 separate companies. With all the dev staff from expeditions going to campfire cabal.

I think one of the business leaders went to a different company but they owned the logic Artists name. That was the nft people.

THQ Nordic bought the expeditions name and ip

THQ Nordic owns the Expeditions ip. If they decide to make another one they could hire Jonas Weaver directly to lead the new game.

I'm not sure how financially sound THQ Nordic is at the moment though

THQ Nordic very recently managed to push out the excellent Jagged Alliance 3. They should be okay.
