I don't know if it's different beyond the demo, but it feels like the female character gets more content due to people going out of their way to tell you that you can't do things because you're a woman.
I wonder if that stops in gaul, after a few Roman soldiers get the rear ends handed to them by celtic women warriors.
Creating a female character *is* playing the game as intended. They're there for a reason, and I really like how it's handled in game. The only other game that pulled off antique sexism with class and wit is Mount & Blade, but it does mirror the historical record of exceptional women proving themselves to be *extremely* exceptional: Joan of Arc, Helen of Troy, Cleopatra.
Roll with it.
And playing as a male is very funny how one of your companion is obliviously female but most people can't guess it and even your own character think that "there is something suspicious about this young unbearded lad".
Meanwhile one companion is clearly recognized that fact and says "that seen... lads like this before, don't worry too much about him". So he probably fine with player being female too.
I wonder how your slave being sexist playing out with character being female.
hope it helps with others later on
I have no idea how the rest of the game plays out, but there are a couple extra scenes in the demo if you are a woman.
Basically people telling you that you need to keep a low profile because you have ovaries, etc.
Devs have said that it gets more involved later on, so I'm looking forward to that. : )
Can you play games on steam in the autonomious mode? Yes, you can in most of them with some caveat. It's is designed capability already in the client. Do games on Steam are intended to be played in autonomious mode? No, they are not, even if some players use only this way to play.
Online is the designed way to play, while player playing the game as intended, autonomious is a back-up option.
