Rodent and cats

I am on Act 3 and I have tried everything that I could find on Act 2 regarding getting cats to spot the rodent menace.

Can someone help me with some spoilers, maybe? I dont know what I did wrong in Act 2.

There is a certain amulet in act 2(the amulet from afterlife travel guide) and give max donation to Raia in act 2. And build shrine in legion camp. And you will have cats for days.

I have enough already. But I didn't get this event in act 3. But the legion camp was full of cats.

What is the Monster? Is there a special pet cat? I think I missed him. Unless Monster is the name of Bestia pet cat.

Yes! I dont have any cats in my camp, although I have 3 "quest cats" on my inventory. I have never had the chat or event to talk to Raia on Act 2 to "call cats" to me, even though I accepted her on my camp.

After completing Raia quests (the Lions and the herding cats) she asks if she can stay and build in the legion a shrine. Say yes and then go talk to her. She asks for a donation for the shrine. I gave it the max amount of donation, and I've got a special medallion and in Act 3 cats will overrun your legion camp.
But I think you should talk to her in act 2 and I did it before discussing the Siege of Alexandria in my legion camp.
Raia and her shrine can be found at the back of centurion / praetorian recruitment tent inside the main legion camp. Not the legion Afrorum legion camp.

Is there a way to trigger the death even again or an alternate way to get the talisman?

I'm nearing the end of Act 2 and really don't want to have to go all the way back save wise and replay most of the Act... lol

It is not at the at the beginning of act 2 that Raia shrine, talisman and donation occurs. It happened for me during mid and late game. After Cleo and Pharaoh meeting at Alexandria. During that meeting in Alexandria you meet Raia.
And the talisman that you get during afterlife travel guide you can do the side quest anyone you want before discussing the siege of Alexandria in the legion tent. So depending where you have done the quest you might need to replay Act 2.
Outside replaying what you miss there is no way to trigger that event and keep it for your current run. But the mallus from the rodents event is probably not that important, you will have enough food in Gaul for that event to no longer matter.

The talisman you talk about is when you're in the court of heaven. So it might be a bit late now.
