Music?
Just bought this on Steam for old time's sake. It took a bit of fiddling to get my Xbox One Blutooth controller working (it's not detected in the game's controller set up menu), but managed it by using the steam config page and remapping the buttons.

However, there's no music playing, just the sounds. As the music is a major part of this game, I hope I can get this working too! Thoughts?

Win 10, 64-bit, BTW

Game use WINMM (CDtoHDD files wrapper) with Vorbis (OGG) support. The entire soundtrack is just a big Vorbis file. It should play by default. But you can check if music is enabled:

Get to the game main menu and press ALT+ENTER, go to Game, Options, Sound and check if music is ON.

If music was already enabled it could be a problem between the game's Vorbis libraries and your codec package (installing a codec package was never a good idea).

@Stranno is it possible for someone to dumb this game's textures?

Files are encrypted, idk. But you can dump the PSX game textures using gpuBladeSoft's plugin.

Yep - music is set to "ON". I haven't specifically installed an OGG codec, but did install VLC a long time ago, which includes various codecs. I can play OGG files (default VLC, but also works with other media players on my system e.g. Foobar), including the game's 'Track02.ogg" file.

Still no dice with the music playing in game, however.

As an update, I ended up ordering this game from another provider, since I couldn't get the music working. Steam were very good with the refund (thanks, guys).

The music works perfectly with the other version.

Interestingly, when using Steam to launch the game as a custom .exe, there is again no music, so it must be some issue with Steam, this game, and my set up.
