Do i have a issue with microtransactions? No, unless it has pay 2 win mechanics and yes, this game had one of the worst microtransactions system in the world. You could buy items for real money that benefits you and make you more powerful.
You know what the dev said? You can also unlock everything with ingame currencies. Yeah sure, but first you need to grind for ages against P2W players, that's something they forgot to tell.
This game died very quickly and the developer saw that they made a very big mistake. This was just a big failure. Game didn't survived for a year or even less? I don't know, they cancel it pretty quickly.
It was priced at $40 for an early access with nothing genuinely original sporting for it in either visual design; game mechanics; game engine; or business model. Right after Apex Legends announced its release date a mere week before PS:A, DBG backpaddled and refunded all copies of the game, going over to a F2P model with, again, nothing really original sporting for it.
Unfortunately for DBG, the game had already undergone a brief execution by Apex. With a peak player count of only 1,500 upon release that death spiraled to ~300, the plug was pulled on the servers only a few months later.
