What is there not to like about this? I guess theres just a bunch of people butt hurt that PS3 isn't coming :P
it's poorly balanced in late games. players without anti-vanguard stuff cant do much. it lack propper ping system. no vehicle upgrades. no weapon upgrade system. no ways to organize squad. and slower progression than PS2. those loot boxes just UGH.
and on top of that it gets repetitive really fast. i guess it is fine to play 3-4 games on evening.
and it's very sad to look at. all this effort putted into PS2 could bring more people than current PSA online.
it lack ping system cause it not working to begin with. looking at enemy and spoting dont do anything most of time. and i cant ping "hey there is good stiff here". that was never implemented in PS2 and anything new take years to implement. arena will be ded when this feature wull be implemented.
and no. they will not come. belive me i'm PS2 vet.
I've quit PS2 years ago, and I can still see from the get-go months ago that PSA is nothing but bad news, even without taking "Hey, PS2 is probably a better game" into account. Everything about it screamed "CHEAP ASSET FLIP BR CASH-GRAB".
Fortnite BR pulling the same stunt from Fortnite STW and succeeding was an exception, not the norm. Enjoy and defend it all you want, but if Daybreak can't even keep the only MMOFPS out there worth a damn in a healthy state (a genre they currently have almost complete monopoly on), don't expect them to manage that for a cheap BR clone when hundreds of competitors already exist.
Honestly the only BR that has caught my attention so far that isn't PUBG. Which I've almost invested nearly 3,000 hours in so far. (Of which I'm going 3,000 more lol) This game has the potential to be great in my opinion.
Just needs TTK rates lowerd a bit and maybe emphasis on squad leads like PS2 where you can act as mobile spawn points. Maybe even adding an item in that forces a respawn on use. No clue. The game is still young, but I prefer it much more than I do PS2.
yeah TTK is pretty high, especially with orange shields which are everywhere. they need to seriously decrease the number of orange drops. but the game is fun without question.
MAYBE IN THE FUTURE ( WE HOPE NOT ) SOON.........
What am I expecting? Hacks, both subtle and not. Grindy systems. Introductions of expensive weapons. Lack of content creation post launch.
They've got a nasty track record and they're eating that up right now. Coulda actually tried to improve the titles they already have up and running, but they seem to be running away from doing actual improvements and just adding a gun here and there. That's not really gonna cut it if your yearly contribution is a single gun for each faction and the occasionally wayward hex edit of some values for various balance changes.
