Picking stuff up off the floor
How do you pick items up off the floor? For example, "Spoilers" in the room where you find your first 5 runes, if you climb up the ladder you can walk across the beams to find the 5th rune and some coins. No matter how far I physically kneel or bend over I can't reach those items to collect them. There doesn't seem to be any button either to get on your knees or even lie flat.

Thanks for letting us know that, when you set your controllers on the floor, do they sit in-line with the game's floor?

I went up to the rune that is on the beam again. Laid my controllers down on my floor. They seem to be hovering about 1 1/2 feet off the beam.
I purchased the game directly through Oculus Home, if that matters.

Okay are you able to check if you're room setup has the correct height, or is it only offset in our game?

So this game not recommended played at seat, eeemmm i'm playing VR prefer most on seat :D

Yes, my room has the correct height, but I'm thinking perhaps I should raise both my Rift cameras higher, and have them point down slightly. I've had the same camera setup since the Rift's launch though, and am unsure if it will be possible with my current setup. But then I'm also unsure if I've ever had to reach to pick up an item up from the floor before. Some games just have the items "float" into your hand when you get close, so perhaps it was never an issue. I'll see if I can raise my cameras somehow.

It seems the cameras just needed a better view. I rose both rift camera up from 4ft off the floor to about 6ft off the floor. I am temporarily using fun-tac to mount the cameras that high, but I just ordered these cheap rift mounts that I'll be getting Saturday for a cleaner look:

I have now been able to grab the rest of the coins and the final rune in the first room.

Turns out I'm still having issues. Seems I can only pick up items off the floor if I set my height at a minimum of 4 feet. 3 feet is even better but I look ridiculous in game at that height and can barely press buttons in the book to start or continue the game.

Okay thanks for letting us know! Are you running the game through the oculus sdk or through steam vr when you launch?

I bought it directly through the Oculus Store.

I am also interested in SEATED VR games. I have a bad knee and seated games in this genre let me get in on the fun. I think all VR should have a SEATED version. In other words, if I can turn with my controller and the game has a point and click pick-up mechanism in place you're good for seated.

Hey GMBzilla, in Shadow Legend there is both teleport movement and snap-turning. I was wondering which headset you're playing on? For Oculus we also use the "A" button on the touch controller for crouching, we just don't have the crouch option on Vive yet. Let me know thanks, Blake
