AND it's a small developer, no AAA budget and team here means small progress. The majority of players is too used to AAA progress and polish.
We should not expect that here, but small progress.
Moving on would only happen if they wouldn't see any more potential for this game, but they do. They're just working on it and seem to have no community manager, which is bad, but not as bad as dropping the game. They're just focussing on the game progress while hoping the community is good without them informing much. I too expect a dev to monitor Steam discussions, but it's not a reason to call out they had moved on. But it would be nice for a dev to clear things up here.
