The devs are building a solid framework for the game. This needs time and looks like nothing changes. When the base of the game is working flawless then updates and new content will come more often, like in any other early access game.

Next update is likely in january as a dev mentioned on their discord. They have not moved on to another game. They are still hard at work, just a bit quiet.

the servers are so quiet again. development seems to have completely stopped. most of the gamemodes and builders are still pretty flawed and basic, not much to hang around for. if they aren't careful there will be no-one left to see the next update.

Kids today have no patience. it's been 2 months. We are not talking about small patches, or fluff dlc on a more or less complete game. This is framework developing, sometimes you can spit a chuck fairly quickly, other times you need to get a big chunk done and drop it all at once for any of it to work. Why anyone would buy into early access with the kind of expectations I've seen most have is beyond me. If you can't wait move on, take another look when its done and pay full price for a finished game. Oh that's right finished games don't exist anymore.

It's Early Access!
AND it's a small developer, no AAA budget and team here means small progress. The majority of players is too used to AAA progress and polish.
We should not expect that here, but small progress.

Moving on would only happen if they wouldn't see any more potential for this game, but they do. They're just working on it and seem to have no community manager, which is bad, but not as bad as dropping the game. They're just focussing on the game progress while hoping the community is good without them informing much. I too expect a dev to monitor Steam discussions, but it's not a reason to call out they had moved on. But it would be nice for a dev to clear things up here.

it seems like it may not be in active development anymore, but it is still cute and fun and worth getting on sale
