Azetlor/The Collector bug?

I've reached the boss for the LIbrary level, Azetlor/The Collector. I'm able to de-slime his mask just fine, but it will not let me "wrnagle" the mask to yank it off for the third stage. Egon and Stanz just keep yelling "use the capture ray!" at me while firing Boson Darts at the monster. I've tried rebooting the game three times with the same results. There is nothing online about this, but I can't be the first person to ever have this issue....
Any ideas? This is very frustrating as I cannot continue without beating Azetlor...and I don't wanna cheat...

Did you try using the right click smash to yank it off? That did it for me after I yanked a few times.

Right click only does a Boson Dart for me. It won't even lock onto the mask. I shoot him right in his face and it does nothing. No lock on, no ability to smash, nothing. Just normal shooting and Boson Darts. I've tried repariing the game files, restarting the mission, switching difficulties, everything. I can de-slime his mask, but after that, the fight is bugged.
I read that Stanz and Egon are supposed to hold his arms. All they do is fire Boson Darts and yell at me. That's it.

Sorry, the default is Shift+Left Click. Should grab the mask like a ghost and give you slam options.
