telling the developer to "♥♥♥♥ off" because the drunkenness effect in a video game is too strong is, uh... A choice.
Sleep it off. It goes away in a matter of hours, like real life.
the exaggeration of being in this drunk stupor is just too much. This should be on the main page that warns people about this cause the dizziness also applies to the person playing and me who has vertigo almost puked on this bs. So F to the devs for no warning.
If the game put you in so much physical and psychological distress then maybe you should consider asking for a refund?
I did enjoyed the game so I won't refund it its just when the drunk bit is just over the top exaggeration just want to know whats the deal with it, are they trying to make the player get dizzy or puke? cause it lasted around 10mins+ till i reload a save
The debuff is meant to simulate being heavily intoxicated, not just mildly buzzed. When consuming alcohol in this game, if you down an entire large-sized bottle, you get about as drunk as one might expect. It should be nauseating.
You can actually interrupt the drinking animation a second or two after you started drinking to essentially take a sip. You can get mildly buzzed this way.
I feel it is rude to say "♥♥♥♥ the developers" over an in-game status condition that you inflicted upon yourself of your own volition.
Why have you been drinking, anyway? Alcohol provides no positive status effects. If the drunkenness effect is upsetting to you, don't drink. There's no point in the game in which you have to drink, or are even encouraged to drink; I feel like it would be kind of unwarranted to expect the developer to put a warning on the game page for this.
Cause I'm trying out the game mechanics. If there is no incentive in drinking alcohol then it shouldn't be consumable in the first place it just adds bloat to the game. If you can spike people with alcohol when "interrogating" them or have a "buff" or effect that makes the game more interesting when drunk then the liquor could stay if not then it's really not needed to be consumable. Games like Elder scrolls and Fallout implemented alcohol and drugs well into the game where the side effects weren't that obnoxious compared to this game. I really have no qualms of saying the "f the devs" cause they didn't bother to warn its gamers of the exaggerated effects of drinking alcohol cause there are people like me who easily gets dizzy. I literally got a minor headache after that and needed to take medication.
Not everyone is getting a headache with it and consider it a debuff. Many games have them,
Some people like to role play too in game and make up their own scenarios and stories. It’s like adding furniture etc adds no real value but some folks like that stuff.
Next time dev, add in the minimum requierement: Self control
Got really drunk and thought it would be wise to get out before the resident returns. I tried really hard to get out but ended up in bathroom and back to living room. I tried to do some damage but I couldn't stay still enough to grab anything to smash. Tried to get out again and ended back into corner of bathroom. Eventually I sobered up enough and left the apartment.
It was hilarious.
That's generally how I've been playing the game recently though: turning off status ailments that I find annoying or tedious to maintain, mainly just the nausea and drunk status ailments.
I think it's cool that the game lets you turn them off though. But man I tried doing that hidden drunk fingerprints achievement tonight (which I don't recommend attempting at all) and I think I might need a shower IRL: my motion sickness got so bad that I genuinely broke out sweating badly and may need to get some medicine for it. lol
Definitely think they should change the drunk effect though. I think it would be fine if it just made you stumble around, but the head/camera bobbing is baaaaad.
