using same video card for last 5 years, i dont plan on upgrading cuz i dont need my computer setting fire to itself
well ya but what if it just saved character stats and a world seed and the computer just generates the world again? it's a datacenter so like it can download it at 2-3Gbps. I watch it download conan exiles in its entirety in 10 seconds and if it needs a second it can just download the save file when the game is not open? it doesnt have to do it with the game open on the fly
i just think game streaming is an inherently kind of bad idea because of the nature of how internet connections work
even with fiber wire internet you still get considerable input lag as compared to running the game locally
You should try it sometime, even if it's a free trial. As someone who cannot afford an expensive computer (but can afford the subscription fee), GeForce Now has been awesome. Not only can I play tons of games that my computer definitely would not be able to, it runs really well and I can even use RTX in games like Far Cry 6. The entirety of my time on FC6 has been on GFN and I haven't had any considerable issues (so long as I'm on a stable internet connection, obviously).
