My city with 815 even has a building with 20 floors
If anybody wants it for any reason, the seed is: Richmond.3.3318.M5IN3YT83zUf9GzU
Now that I think about it, a feature I would like (and it may not even be possible) is more control over city creation. For example, I've noticed that cities spawn with districts. I want to be able to dictate where districts are placed in the map, and I want districts to have a wealth value that impacts what kinds of buildings can spawn there. For instance, an upper class district is going to have a lot of those ritzy 'suites' buildings, as well as nice restaurants/bars, but absolutely no homeless camps or factories.
City seeds take on the following format:
City Name.CitySize.Index.Seed
City Name is just what you think it is - the name of your city.
CitySize is a single digit number from 0 to 3 that specifies the size of your city:
0 = Small
1 = Medium
2 = Large
3 = Very Large
Index is a 4 digit string of integers that references the game version the seed was generated with. You can manually enter a number here, but it will revert to the correct number automatically.
Seed is an alphanumeric string of characters that is 16 characters long. This is clearly the actual seed for what goes where. The length of this string does not depend on the size of the city; they're always 16 characters long.
The "index" tells you, which version the seed was created on. Like Charlotte Heights has 3307, because it was generated under v33.07 of the game, similar to how games, which are created now, will have 3319 as their version number, since we're currently at v33.19 (you can see the version in the top right corner in the starting menus). That said you can definitely have multiple games with the same version number saved on your PC
And even if you try to paste a seed in (like your code), it will default to 3319 when generating it today, just to make clear, that it was generated under a different patch than the original city and might therefore generate a different city, if something got changed in the city generation algorithm (for example i tried to use a code of a streamer, which generated a on v33.16, while i tried to use it on v33.18 and i sadly got a completely different city).
The only way to guarantee, that the codes you generate today can be played in the future is by actually keeping a save file of said seed, just in case the world generation changes (and it will most certainly do, once the new buildings get released with the next big update)
Can you post the seed or is it an old version?
Here's mine, 3 parks and i think 4 penthouses. They're all in a row like the billionaire row in NYC but they all face the ocean. 692 pop.
My highest pop is 737 - Lake City.3.3318.4gZH86y6SpxTC3b9
I'll update when I get a higher pop or 4+ 19 floors or more.
Pop: 775
Currently playing on Nova's Kyoto (pop. 1525), the other two uploads have
