Stalker Killing
They were right about the city never sleeping, cause there is someone always up to no good. Their name was Gian Barbee. Dead on the floor, killed by a bladed weapon. What was especially weird was that there were spent pistol casings on the ground with Gian's prints on them. Obviously there was an altercation. The killer was strange with their blood writing, as some of it I found inside the fridge, some of it on the curtain, and some of it illegible due to the 6 inches of wall between the rooms. The words I could make out were "Gian" and "Together." I had my suspicions, which were only proven when I checked their computer. Apparently they had been stalked by a brown haired woman. Not much, but a good start. I couldn't find the murder weapon on scene, so the killer must still have it. I found some very sneaky prints that the killer neglected to dust away on the cupboard, but prints are useless without a suspect. They said that they were being watched at a local eatery, but it was days before the murder so the cameras were unlikely to have saved footage of that day. Another suspect I had was Gian's roommate, as I found her prints on a box cutter in the house, but none of the other evidence was lining up with her being the culprit. On the computer I also found that she had been recently matched with someone on a dating site. Female, Brown hair. "Jackpot," is what I thought before realizing her prints didn't match the crime scene. Back to square one. Remembered to huck a can of garbage at the police officer guarding the victim's apartment. Remember rookies, trash cans are stealthier weapons than you assume. I finally got around to the one piece of evidence I neglected to check. Her place of work. within 30 seconds of breaking in, I found the employee that killed her. Stephanie Goodwin. Ironic, because she wasn't good at getting away with murder, much less her job. Woman had several emails from Dove where she failed to match with anyone. Seems that she decided to take things into her own sadistic hands. I found her apartment and, after she politely opened the door for me, I introduced her noggin to the concept of blunt force. Had an entire combat knife in a kitchen drawer, so it was pretty easy finding the murder weapon. Much like revenge, justice is often served cold, most often as cold as the corpses we seek to avenge. But I am happy to know another psycho is behind prison bars.

Remember rookies, the key to solving the case is always the last thing you check.
