Really loud beeping sound

Topic title. I'm trying out the tutorial mission and in the beginning apartment, and there's this really loud beeping noise that lasts for a few seconds. It drowns out everything else audio-wise and it's extremely aggravating to hear. How can I make it stop? I can't play this game with it going off seemingly randomly and deafening me!
