Report a translation problem
Except, I knocked him out right after the exchange took place, still out on the streets.
He DID have the case on him and I could steal it, but graphically he was still holding a briefcase even after I took it off of him. Further searching didn't show any other briefcases, either.
On another, different tailing job, I followed them home. There I followed them in and saw them apparently offload the briefcase on top of their TV.
But, again, their hands still HAD a briefcase.
The briefcase on the TV was the real one, and after knocking them out and searching them (with the weird "phantom briefcase" still in their hands) I found no other briefcase on their person.
In both of those cases, I was able to complete the job, despite the target still appearing to have the briefcase in their hands.
In my experience, this is a visual bug of sorts.
This issue is high on our priority list, can you please send a report via our bug forum, cole can look into this and work to resolve this.

Oh sorry.. for me bare hands was the only way to not softlock, but i guess maybe it does still happen sometimes with bare hands.. Not sure what to advise people then
