You could incapacitate them in a number of ways.
Or, go get some handcuffs and put them in them while they're asleep.
Cuffing someone doesn't wake up anyone else sleeping.
Though if they have to be gone, and their work schedules don't overlap, there's also the option of trespassing, getting them to chase after you, leading them away, then doubling back and getting into their place.
Could also go and buy a door wedge, sneak into their house while they're sleeping, and wedge their bedroom door shut, so even if you do wake them up, you'd have plenty of time to either hide or flee before they break free of the blockage.
There's a lot of options, especially if you have the proper equipment, or don't mind getting smacked around a bit while doing something goofy.
I personally like knocking on doors, getting them to answer and open it, and then close the door, and immediately barge the door down, knocking them out and giving me plenty of time to investigate.
how do you barge the door down?
Right click on the door while sprinting towards it.
