Is it good now?
This game was released to the overwhelmingly negative reviews because it was broken and simply not finished for a 1.0 title. Now it has "Very Positive" recent reviews. And a lot of them.
Was it really fixed so quickly? Is it good now? Or is it still broken and unfinished?

Not even close. Its functionally the same game it was on release. Fixes wew very minor and did not address any of the major criticism this game received on launch with regards to:

- poor performance
- game breaking and softlocking bugs
- memory leaks
- console functionality and control schemes
- lack of content and rather poor implementation of what's there
- localisation issues preventing cyrillic and chinese locales to use the game
...

This game for some reason has always experienced some *weird* reviews, even prior to release.

The game is cool but they absolutely lied to their early adopters like myself about the amount of content that was coming in future updates. They very clearly dumped the game in favour of releasing a console port and an e-book or something. Pathetic, and I will never buy or speak about any of their future games as their name has been tainted to me.

Didn't this game have mixed reviews like last week? How did it suddenly get all very positive?

Lots of newish games are experiencing significant influxes in positive reviews, Shadows is just one of them

got this game when it initially released. never was disappointed. yeah it was buggy. and still is. but none break the game for me. the inherent gameplay overweighs the negative side by miles.

Tbh it still has a lot of work that needs to be done. I would say it is good but I hope the developer will do some more about the loading issues, better clue system and so on.

I would still say it is worth getting atm

This game just remains too much of a risk for me to make a purchase. Once I see a review that says 'yes, they have fixed most of the game-breaking bugs', then I'll consider it.

I'm just glad that we're still not allowed to use firearms. (Even though everyone and their Mom wanted them to add that ability)

Everyone else in town is constantly strapped and ready to let loose if I even so much as sneeze but the person we play as being able to defend themselves... big no no. :sunekosuri:
