"following" someone

Every time I just walk down the street normally, some random person always stops, turns around, looks at me, and starts screaming at me to stop following them, what did I do to you to cause this visceral reaction, I was passing by for just five seconds💀

its to prevent you from simply tailing your suspects by walking behind them. The NPCs react... very strongly.

its to prevent you from simply tailing your suspects by walking behind them. The NPCs react... very strongly.

Can't you just use a newspaper to follow them while hiding?

Been meaning to try it, and never got around to it.

Maybe that's the intent but it's badly bugged. I've rarely had it happen when I actually followed someone, it always happens for me when I just walk down the street and barely have been near a person for 5 seconds and they just start freaking out.

I don't really know what triggers it, but it never triggers for me unless I am actively following somebody.

This I am not sure about; newspapers do in fact give the player the "hidden" status- like being under a bed or hiding in a cabinet- but I'm not certain it works that way.
