What Counts As Evidence
For my case someone got murdered by a coworker. I checked for fingerprints on the buisness card and door but could only find fingerprints for the victim and their roomate. Im just wondering other ways to provide evidence besides fingerprints

Some times you can't provide evidence that they were at the crime scene in my experience. for example with sniper killers they kill from afar. If you can't find fingerprints and its not a sniper you could check cameras. They do count as evidence if you get the killer on the screen during the time of death.

you can place the prints at the scene if you get you culpit, but you dont need to it will count anyway
but beside taken a picture in the act (but thats new and i dont know how that works) prints are the way to go as evidence

Where they shot from also counts as the scene! Evidence of them being there should count. Though I have had weird issues with placing killers at a scene even with hard evidence.

Good way is to get camera footage from the apartment block/strett when it is fresh.
A that point you have at least a photo of the killer.

If you find the weapon the sniper used, you can use the prints from their gun as evidence they were at the crime scene. In sniper cases, both where the victim died and where the murderer shot from are considered crime scenes.

I had one case where there were notes left at the crime, but not fingerprints. I ended up using the notes as evidence, as they had the murder's writing style. Was a really interesting case as I was lost on it for quite a while (3 murders deep by the same killer). So I switched gears to track a client's spouse stepping out on them. Funny thing that when I got to the next murder seen (murder #4), I found the spouse's finger prints in the new victim's apartment. Also condemning emails between them. Then I found info on the murderer there as well. Seems that after the first 3 murders, the murderer found out his spouse was cheating and made an example of her. There where odd notes all over the apartment made by the killer. Funniest of all was the murderer leaving the scene as I got there. Literally walked out of the apartment as I got there and the cops were investigating... Not very competent at their jobs... glad I was there and got the person's name as they were leaving. Tracked them down at work later.

Solved 2 crimes at one location that time. Was pretty funny, as the cheater's spouse wanted a pic of the person he was cheating with... well, it was a murder scene pic, but she was happy with it... :D

What are the odds of that.

Photographic evidence now counts for the form. Also you can often find the killer's prints on drawers they've opened, which they seem to do a lot more than they used to.
