Question about Fall Damage
How many floors up can you fall down before you die? I have factually died to an 8+ story fall, but I haven't tried anything lower really...

Around two. You can jump from the first floor and survive almost every time, but I think anything past that and it's a gamble on whether or not you land on something high enough to prevent you from dying.

There is a sync disk in game that eliminates fall damage, though.

Thanks - that helps a lot :D - I haven't used Sync Disks much yet, still in the earlier stages of the game (solved several side-jobs for photography, and have generated several cities looking for the perfect setup...then they do an experimental update and I'm like "All In" so I reset my city for that, so long story short, I'm about 1 murder case solved overall, and several side jobs, but having a lot of fun, but my progress is spread through several saves due to the city generation process)

My advice, for now, at least, is to get used to making many different saves and cities. There's a decent number of pretty nasty bugs that may catch you off guard, and a lot changes between updates.

Also, for falls; landing on any object before you hit the "death threshold" from falling will leave you alive. You can exploit this and jump from relatively high places, so long as you land on anything with collision before you start moving too fast. For example, depending on the positioning, you can jump from the third floor and land on something like a telephone pole or camera pole.
