What ever happened to Vmails being useful?

I played this game a long time ago, and upon returning I noticed that vmails are practically useless now. Besides the occasional email where they say something like "A tall, hair hair" person is stalking them, all I ever see are bugged vmails of them emailing themselves. Is this a problem with my game specifically?

I have the same thing where I'll often see a vmail to and from themselves. I thought my game was bugged too but am glad that I'm not alone, it's pretty odd to see when it happens, which is quite often.

When I first started playing I thought the "book return" Vmail was a clue, so kept following the lead back to see if I could find the first person that had it. Realised pretty quickly that it wasn't and I ended up feeling pretty silly.

lol I did the same thing with a book return seeing as the sender blatantly threatens the victim. Also for me personally its not even often; it's every single time for every single murder victim.

It might be the same for me too, I'll have to keep a better eye out.. Although I'm hoping the vmails, ghosts using invisible stairs, and etc will be worked upon for the 1.0 "the murder drop" release later this year.

I just had one as well but I chalked it up to the person becoming paranoid but I guess it must be a bug if its this widespread

Yeah the Vmails are usually garbage, it would be nice to see some variety from them.
