Arrest mission - very vague info on suspect
So I picked up a job to arrest a suspect.
The clues given are that they have a particular blood type, and wear glasses, and work in a particular building.

The building has like 5 floors of corporate offices in it, do I really have to break into every single one to find the employee records ?

Yup. Maybe. Kinda, some of them will have picture walls so you can check those to see who has glasses. Or if you don't wan't to fill your characters flawless memory with all the details of every employee, you can visit during opening hours and purchase a guest pass and see who wears glasses and investigate them.

Oh, don't forget the ground level businesses too.

I've made three wrongful arrests so far, lol.

Tried asking people if they saw anything unusual. Got a couple comments about suspicious looking people, but looking up the CCTV doesn't find anything helpful.

I find that the job system is a little buggy. If you hand in a incorrect form it breaks and any future attempts will auto fail even if you get it right.

A way to tell if you found the right mark is that the target profile will fill out with the target's name once you find info on them.

Also worth noting, that the more a job pays, the less info you are given to go on - so even though the high-priced jobs are lucrative, it might be quicker - and less frustrating - to complete more of the lower-paying jobs. Of course, there's enjoyment in a real challenge, too. ;D

That said, if you get a job that's too vague or too much of a pain, totally feel free to close/drop it - last I checked, there's no penalty for dropping a case and just getting something different. :)

So if I spot the right employee photograph, it will fill out some details ?

It can be a bit finicky. But if you find out the information on the mark that matches the starting description, the profile will change from "Unknown Citizen" to their name.

For example, lets say you started with long red hair, average build, age 42. If you find the right guy's wallet (for the age) and a picture of him, then the profile will change to his name if you know it (Which in this example you would. it'll be in the wallet and on the photo.)

I eventually solved this case, having looked at the employee databases for every business in the building.
At some point, it linked one of the suspects, but I'm not sure if it 'popped' right away, or if I had had to close and reopen the notebook.
All I know is that I was still trying to find an Unknown Citizen that I had seen on the CCTV, when suddenly I noticed that the case details were now pointing to one of 4 other people that I had picked out from the employee records.

Had to do a similar case and yes, I had to narrow it down by breaking in during the night. You don't necessarily need the Employees files though, as all businesses have a board with pictures of each one of them. Simply check the pics, isolate people that have glasses, then go back to the City Hall and look them up in the Gov Database. If one of them has the matching blood type, bam, you got 'em.

A friend of mine temporarily gave up on a similar job. All he knew is that the suspect's first initial was A, they were 55 years old, and that their partner was the Head of HR in an unknown company.

He spent hours breaking into every business in a high-rise building and checking through their files to figure out who the Head of HR was for that company, and then checking their computer to try and find any kind of "partner-style" emails with someone whose first initial was the letter A.

They started using the Government Directory at the town hall to print out reports for every person with the first initial of A, but eventually the computer stopped giving printouts. We assumed that was hopefully just a "don't brute-force detailed information, this is a detective game" measure taken by the developers and not some kind of bug.

Definitely a bug, had no problem printing them out in a smaller city.

At this time I would probably just gave up, had similar cases which only provided me with their interest, age, eye colour etc, got rid of it and moved on.

Sometimes the computer printout works, sometimes it doesn't.

I cleared the building fairly easily because I broke in over the weekend, nobody was at work. Ate most of the food in the break rooms, drank from the water coolers, lol

Thank you for sharing that. I've only managed to solve two cases, and both times when I filled out the form, I was only KINDA SURE lol

Got both right but never could completely pin it on them so it was only an educated guess.
