Mods?
Anyone know if anyone is modding this game yet? Or has a loose understanding of the file structure or engine they use to point me in the right direction to making my own?

All I want to do is make the scanner visual effect less purple, and make the beam wider, as well as making the flashlight wider as well.

Both of them have unrealistically tight beams and it really irks me for some reason.

Its not real modding and no real "making your own custom case" Its just a text editor and a city editor lol. Nothing more. I rly hope custom cases are coming. If not, iam out.

Disappointing, I have been digging into Unity w/ this game seeing if I could get anything useful out of decompiling some things, and no luck so far.

Granted, I am not very good at it and it looks like the level of effort required is going to be more than is worth it to just change the scanner and flashlight projection size.

If you get the Thunderstone mod manager, there are a few mods on that. Though you'ed have to launch through that to enable them. I've got 35 mods, which is most of them, although I'm pretty sure not all of them work. Though none like what you're looking for.

The only one with a major change currently is a fingerprint mod, I forget the name, where it changes fingerprints to be 5 letters instead of 2, and each print you find, you are only given 2 letters at a time, unless you get the prints from the person, or their file on the computers.

When I tried with the in game mods, I can't get any of them to download. Just stays at 0.

just a note with modding via BepInEx (what Thunderstore offers for SoD): you do not NEED R2ModMan
you can just manually install everything and it'll launch properly with your mods through steam. Works that way with 99% of games offered through thunderstore.

as far as mods for THIS game, there's not many listed and they're mostly all out of date and either unlikely to work, or likely to cause Problems at random.

There is this mod that works for the flashlight: https://discord.com/channels/561162895887695883/1110006330351169607/1124538360191520889. Uses bepinex, but it's not available on thunderstore.
And yea, pretty much all mods on thunderstore currently do work.

Unfortunately that channel doesn't work for me.
