I have a question about Ritual Reaper Case
I haven't really been able to solve these types of cases. I've never tried everything but I never get very far with these cases. Is there any advice or anything you can tell me so I can continue advancing in them because today I spent 7 hours looking for more evidence and things, but I was never able to find the person, I had the name and information, even the fingerprint, but I still couldn't find this person because he didn't have a job and there weren't many more clues to follow.

All of these cases will have a crumpled note at the crime scene with a cryptic clue. For each murder after the first the puzzle gets one letter filled in for you. Solve the puzzle to find the killer.

Thanks for the help I have a question how to track a phone that when I call is not registered in the telephone exchange

If you had one of these cases where the note did not seem to spawn, it's possible that an NPC has picked it up. It's a bug and really needs to be reported so they can tag the notes, cars, etc. so that the NPCs don't see them as trash and take away the evidence.

I'll just quote myself from the other post I just answered this question on:

I love phone number cases! Here's a step by step guide on how they work, spoilered in case you want to figure out the remaining steps yourself.

Step 1: Find a phone, but not a phonebox. You can use any apartment (you'rs if you have one), a diner or city hall.
Step 2: Call the number taking note the current time. It doesn't matter if anybody answers the phone.
Step 3: Find the building's phone router. In apartment buildings it will be in the basement. The diner it'sin the shed out back. In the city hall it's the room at the back left on the ground level. Dodge or disable the lasers (easily done in apartment buildings by opening the basements security powerbox and hitting the left lever) and unlock and use the phone router. Check the outgooing calls tab and look for a call made at the time you noted above (It's usually the bottom one). If the destination of the call was in the same building you called from it will tell you the room number. Otherwise it will tell you which building the call went to.
Step 4: Goto the building the call went to and access their phone router, this time checking the incoming calls. Again checking for calls coming in at the time you noted before (again, usually the bottom one.) This will tell you the apartment number the call went to.
Step 5: Get yourself a coffee and a doughnut, you earned yourself a break.

I imagine you checked the victim's address book to see if the killer's address was on there?

If it's really annoying but you have the name, you can take the cheap way out and use the computer at city hall. It's in an area that isn't considered trespassing and has the entire government database of every civilian. Good chance you might find the password an enforcer left on a sticky note too. The government database will get you their home address too when you print out their page, but if they don't have one....

You can also get a photo of them and present it to random people on the street to help you find the person, especially if they don't have a home and are homeless. Keep asking around and someone will probably give you a rough location of where they was before or are currently. Eventually, you might even have someone say "they are here now" before you notice they are there.

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. I found the dp but the letter is nowhere to be found and tomorrow I will go see if it is in the place where it works. I hope it is not a bug.

I mean the one time I got a case like this it was just a simple anagram, open and shut case after looking at the phone directory for five minutes :P It really sucks though if it didn't spawn for OP, might have to wait for a second murder.
Sky Wizard Feb 16, 2024 @ 4:12am
Yeah, they're all anagrams. I just didn't want to hand the answer out on a plate. It's more fun when you figure things out yourself.

Oh that sucks they're all the same, I was hoping the puzzle itself was randomized as well. Sorry if I ruined that for anyone :/

I've only once had the note not spawn out of bounds of the map XD Always had to solve them without it.
