There is also a Density mod, I'm not sure exactly what it does though.
Numbers on graphics cards can be quite deceptive. You'd think 1050 ti vs 1060 would be a minor drop but 1060 stomps on the 1050 ti in performance.

Just wait and hope that the optimizations promised in the Early Access quote will help. As for the sizes of the map it's 9 Blocks vs 12 Blocks vs 16 blocks vs 20 blocks. I've done a full run on the small map and the very large map doesn't really feel much different to me. The larger maps only appear to have more of mundane places with more people working at places.
They should've picked a different engine for this game, but now it's too late and it's not an easy fix to make.
(start by learning something about dynamic lighting vs random generation and GPUs vs object count)
I assume you have stable 120fps anywhere in this game.
