Turned in intro case, but can't close it

I turned in the tutorial case but can't close it. I have no further objectives indicated by the game. I could tell from searching for this problem that I am meant to go back to my apartment and pass time, which I've done, but it hasn't resolved my issue. I can't seem to be able to take any more jobs or progress in any way. Any help?

If you've finished the case, you could just start a new sandbox world because that's pretty much the end of it. But try saving and reloading, sometimes scripted events fail to trigger and will trigger upon reload.

After the case, did you get evicted? If you did, you should have had a note/flyer on your fridge directing you to a person that deals in giving out housing, you have to go talk to him.

Thanks for the advice. I've tried reloading but it hasn't helped. Interestingly, if I 'Select no case', the game crashes. So I guess it's just an annoying bug, which I've reported. Bit of an anticlimactic way to end the first mission but otherwise really enjoying the game. Response to spoilers below.

I did not get evicted - nothing has happened since submitting the final case. I can't close it, accept other cases, etc. There is no guidance as to what to do next. I'll start a new sandbox file.

That eviction is the end of the tutorial- You're like one step away from it.

The sandbox mode is, for all intents and purposes, the "main game".
