In the stealing the secret document mission you are tasked with tracking down a citizen whom works for on of the offices in your city, and stealing a secret document from them.
Details on the mark can sometimes be vague, but take heart: they always work in an office. So if the only clues you have is their age, height and hair colour, just snoop around all the offices until you find someone who matches (Note, there may be multiple people who match your description. Once you have identified the correct person the "unknown citizen" card should change to say the name of the correct one!)
So, now you know who's the mark. What next? Firstly, if you don't know it already, you are going to want to find out what their fingerprints are. There are a umber of ways of doing this so I'll let you discover them on your own! Next, you are going to want to search their place of work and their apartment.
In this tutorial we will start in the office, as that is most likely where you'll be if you were searching for clues as to the mark's identity.
If it's currently day time and the office is occupied, you may want to bribe the receptionist to let you poke around so that the office drones don't get all murder hobo on you. It only costs 30cr so it's worth doing. If you don't want to spend any money or can't find the receptionist (they may be dead/arrested for murder!) then come back at night.
Now, offices will often contain multiple envelopes, so how do we tell which one we want? Remember I told you to get the mark's fingerprints? Did you do it? Good, because we are going to whip out our fingerprint scanner and scan each document we find until we find the one with our mark's prints on it. Don't even touch the others, that will leave your prints on them making future identification that little bit harder should you take the job to steal that envelope (each envelope has a job tied to it!).
Searched the whole office and didn't find the envelope? Well then It might be in the mark's apartment! Head there and enter via whatever your preferred means are.
In the case that the document is in their apartment you are usually safe just taking it as it is rare that there are multiple documents in an apartment, but you may want to scan for prints to be sure.
So now you have the document, what now? Well the mission will tell you to either throw it into the sea or place it in a specified spot. in either case equip the document and either right click to throw it into the sea, or at the spot specified (Note: you may want to throw it somewhere you can pick it up again in case you got the wrong spot!).
Remember, some streets also have Backstreets. The difference is that backstreets do not have a road.
Once you have disposed of the envelope or placed it where required the game will tell you how to finish the job, usually by making a phone call.
And that's it, you have done it! congratulations!
