The ability to break external windows would be huge
there are some niche cases in which you're technically on the same level as the window, and you can see through it and break it, but every time i smash a window and hop onto a vent I can see outside, I forget that I can't actually break my way back in.

I get that its likely a performance thing, but i feel like this is enough of an oversight that something should maybe be done in that regard.

edit: on top of this, a lot of glass doors aren't breakable like they should be. makes it a little harder to break into offices.

That aside, The externals of buildings are just facades. The windows you see on the outside are not in relation to any real windows that you'd see on the inside. This makes it difficult to break in via window.

you can break external windown atleast on a appartement i haven't tried outside
you can break windows to get in but the highest you can get in is maybe 1 or 2 floor if you get knocked out in extreme and try to escape the hospital then you can always look how high you are and just smash the window and jump out

you can only break windows on the same floor as you, and you aren't on the same "floor" as the nearby windows when you exit from a high-up one.

you can't break windows that aren't physically present. When you break a window and jump out, the interior is de-loaded, and you see a fake window from the outside that you can't break.

I know the windows are fake; I want the dev to implement a system that allows for the player to break windows externally. I can't overstate the sheer amount of times ive accidentally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ myself over by breaking a window and hopping onto a vent outside, only to remember I've doomed myself.
