Combine two case files?

Greetings,

I managed to have clues for a case separaed into two cases, becasue I started to pick up evidence before someone reported this to the authorities. Now I have a "new Case" folder and another one for the actual case (with a more fany name).

How to I get cards from one file to another?

Also, I noticed that the murderer, who is handcuffed, does not have the "handcuff" tick in the solve evidence form, because she have their own case file :/

EDiT: Now... I entered all things manually, closed the case file and the hand-cuffed guy is gone. But I did neither get paid for it, nor charged for wrong information. Its just.. gone? That seems wrong

for the future: select the evidence you want to transfer so it's popped up. Click the pin. select the case you want to move it to. click the pin again. Evidence successfully moved.

I tried this, but it only wobbeld a bit, but didn't want to go into the other case file.

Not to undermine Sky Wizard's effort but I'm not sure if you're looking to duplicate or just move stuff: If you have any item pinned to one board and also want it pinned in another case, the easiest way to do this is to do a search from the icon on the top left hand side for the thing you want. Pick it from the list and when it's popped up, make sure you're on the right case, and pin that.
I say this is easiest because if you try and move the pinned item directly, it won't unpin when you switch to the board it's not already pinned to.

Edit: I'm pretty sure when you unpin stuff, it goes away, so stick to either re-examining the thing you want to pin or using the search function.

So, in the event you want to duplicate into another case, make a note of the name, switch to the desired case, type it's name into the search function, select from the list , pin.
Everything that you have pinned in any case that's not archived will auto suggest on the list and a few things you might not have pinned.

Also, the arrest portion of the form doesn't fill out until after you name the killer on the form and then back out of the form menu so it can update. After it registers that you've named the suspect, it ticks the box for the arrest if you've already cuffed them.

To move evidence between boards you have to unpin it in the original board. If you want to copy it, interact with it then press f1, it should be at the top of your notebook. you then switch to the board you want it copied to. Click the evidence in the note book to have it pop up. you can now pin it.

okay... move it inside the notebook, unpin, repin from the notebook? I will try the next time that happens.

Unpin it click on the other case and pin it again.
