Upgrading an already upgraded syncdisk?

So i installed an upgrade on my character called constitution which makes it so my guy can't become cold. I upgraded it with one of the findable upgrade things to make it so he can't stink and I have another upgrade thing in my inventory and it says I can upgrade the constitution thing again but it doesn't actually let me. Is this a bug?

You should be able to upgrade the Constitution syncdisk three times: once to not get cold, once to not get smelly, and once to not get tired.

Though a word of warning, it only stops you from getting a *debuff* from being smelly. Right now the NPCs still comment on your stink and can detect you more easily if you don't shower. It may be bugged.

Each sync disc that can be upgraded (some can't), has a fixed amount of upgrades that can be applied to it. You see that amount by the number of circles shown on the sync discs screen (accessible from your case board, see top left corner). Filled circles represent upgrades that you have already applied, empty circles represent upgrades that you can still do.

If your sync disc still shows at least one empty circle, then you should be able to upgrade it. Upgrading requires going to a sync clinic and spending one upgrade vial on the respective sync disc ability.

Upgrade vials can be used for any sync disc. I'm not sure what their exact description is, but there are no upgrade vials that can only be used on specific sync discs.

So yeah I have one clear circle and one upgrtvial available but I can't get it to let my upgrade for no getting tired. Lots of bugs it seems

Are you going to the clinic and laying in the bed or using the pod or are you trying to use the upgrade canister without going back to the clinic? You need to be at the clinic in one of the beds or in the pod in order to do any installs or upgrades.

I was using one of the beds just like I did the first time I upgraded it. It still won't let me. The more I'm playing the game, the more I'm starting to see what people in the reviews were saying about how many bugs there are

If I had to guess, the game eliminates the ability to CHANGE your "stinkiness". If you activate that upgrade and trigger that flag, I assume the game has no way of reverting you back to being not stinky.
