Killer no fingerprints.
I am on my third kill and the killer is still not leaving fingerprints at the crime scene it's getting fairly frustrating and I wanted to see if there is a solution?

Hmm, I think I've always found a fingerprint of the killer somewhere. Could you share some details of the murders, so that we know which type of case it is?

I think soo too, it can be a bit tricky to scan objects the killer left on the floor for instance.

They can leave fingerprints on nearby surfaces and random objects; be sure to do a scan of anything and everything in a good radius around the crime scene.

Also remember that murders are simulated- If there's been three, perhaps a local illegal gun store has sold pistol / rifle ammo to the same person multiple times?

I'm on the Red Gum Reaper; The first killing was in the streets; I canned the body and the wall with the message but, nothing was found to scan that area. I ran around for an hour connecting the dots but, the only connection made was that they were all working in the business. He has the circle and I have scanned the circle. Maybe I'm not scanning enough but, I have scanned the area around both wording and the body.

I just need the matching fingersprints to finish the case. I have looked over the body in the newest case and still no finger prints that isn't the vics.I'm honestly losing my mind trying to solve this.

I understand that but, it won't finish the case if I can't place them at the crime without the finger prints.

You can actually submit a case without doing that step- you miss out on, like, 200cr.

Oh and for reference case names are auto-generated based off which killer archetype you have

When I had a "ritual killer" case (i.e. a victim in a circle that looks like an occult symbol) getting murdered on the street, there was a crumpled note about 10m away with an anagram that led me to the killer. I think the crumpled note also had a fingerprint.

I've heard that in "writing on the wall" cases, you can often find a lipstick with a fingerprint on the floor next to the writing. A lipstick on the street would be easy to overlook. Personally, I only found a lipstick with the murderer's fingerprint in a "lovers" case (where the murderer draws a heart around the victim and leaves a writing on the wall with two initials and the word "forever").

Not sure if that helps, though.

But I can say that I had a few cases where I thought the killer didn't leave a fingerprint, and I think in every single one of those, I eventually found one. Sometimes they _are_ very hard to find, though.

I should note: Bullet casings are super damn tiny and they can roll and bounce away- you can actually use the blood spatter to determine the direction from which the person was shot / slashed. One time I lacked any real evidence on a street case, and I noticed the blood spatter came from behind a dumpster- there were two casings underneath.

Edit: This is in the wrong thread, but, frankly, the information is still useful for anyone who doesn't know.

Thank you, I will keep trying! I have seen the lipstick in the room.
Very hard, Is no joke a little.

Thank you, all!

The lipstick will have the killer's prints on it, if it was used to draw the message. Potential lead.

Don't forget you can scan items on the ground by picking them up and scanning them that way. Have had a killer that didn't leave any prints once, he was a pain.

If the murder is in interior, look for open closet, cabinet, dresser. Most of the case the killer search around in the furniture. Fingerprint can be tricky to scan when they are inside drawer.

Just cracked my very similar case. Turns out it was the police officer standing guard. Classic. The crumpled up anagram is what solved it for me.

There's always fingerprints somewhere. Every killer leaves a calling card: either a crumpled note with an anagram of their name, a lipstick tube, a business card, or a toy car (at this point in the games development). It's possible to get extra fingerprints from something else, like a murder weapon, but those items will always have a murderers fingerprints. That being said, it's possible for the item to glitch out or just be really well hidden, but you'll always have fingerprints somewhere.
